Most of the cost in this sort of ring is in the sapphire, as at 3 ct it is quite large. These Ceylon colour sapphires are in short supply, however when we find one like this it make the ring a stand alone piece.

The total cost will vary depending on the size , weight and colour of the central sapphire. The cushion type shape is a little less common than the standard oval shape, however we often find them in 0.80 – 2.00 ct sizes, which will give the price range in the 7 – 10 k area.

It is very difficult to be exact in the estimation of cost for this sort of engagement ring until we look at available options for a client, the short supply of Ceylon sapphires has given rise to increases in cost, but well worth it if you want some colour in the ring. E5118
